Loading owned lines

Arad South Terminal is located near the Valea Viilor train station, connecting to the railway section between Arad and Timișoara, part of the Romanian section being modernized in the European Rail Freight Corridor 7.

Carrying out the maneuvering activity for assembling or disassembling trains, attaching / detaching wagons or groups of wagons, repairing, loading / unloading maneuvering or repositioning at fronts is done with your own locomotive, on the 4 lines with a length of 350 meters each. The loading on own lines contributes to the good development of the activity, unaffected by other arrivals or departures from the station and offers the opportunity to act more efficiently in case of program changes.

The terminal is equipped to handle containerized, palletized, bulk goods and has ample outdoor storage space, closed warehouses and / or silos, under supervision and permanent guarding.

The terminal operators will coordinate the activity in terms of the team’s experience in the field of intermodal logistics, so that it contributes to the efficiency of operating times by:

• the digitalized system for coordinating loading and storage
• performing customs services
• offices meant for transport operators within the terminal

Loading time is influenced by the type of cargo, bulk, palletized or container.
