AFLUENT Arad South Terminal at EECONNECTED 2026: Strengthening the Logistics Corridor Between Romania and Southeast Europe

The 9th edition of the EECONNECTED conference, held on September 23, 2026, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Bucharest, marked a significant milestone for the team at AFLUENT Arad South Terminal and our partners at METRANS Group.

The event brought together industry leaders and top experts—such as Lt. Col. Alexandru Belea (Euro-Atlantic Resilience Center), Răzvan Pîrcălăbescu (CN ROMARM SA), Iulian Petrariu (Orient Spedition), and Gijs Klomp (WDP)—who debated essential themes regarding logistics corridor resilience, storage infrastructure, and new global trade routes. A central highlight of the agenda was the presentation by Jozef Szelle (Deputy CCO at METRANS Group), who analyzed supply chain flexibility from port to hinterland (“From port to hinterland: rethinking supply chain flexibility in Eastern Europe”).

During the event, our team representative, Commercial Manager Nicoleta Oală, engaged in targeted discussions with valued partners, current clients, and future collaborators, highlighting the strategic role our terminal plays in the region.

🛤️ Key Capabilities Presented at EECONNECTED 2026:

• Strategic Positioning: A vital multimodal hub in Western Romania that efficiently connects road and rail networks across Central and Eastern European supply chains.

• High-Performance Infrastructure: 75,000 square meters of operational space, 4 dedicated railway tracks, and a container storage capacity of 750 TEU.
